Valorant map guide In ranked pool
Summit is a two-site Valorant map set in a mountain Radiant academy in China, released on June 23, 2026 in Patch 13.00. Its three droppable walls reshape A, Mid and B mid-round and crush anything beneath them. Summit is in the current competitive map pool (Patch 13.08), where it has been since Patch 13.00.
All 24 official callout names on Summit, labelled on the minimap and grouped by area. Attackers spawn in the bottom-left corner and defenders at the top of the map, so both teams reach B Lobby and Mid Tiles quickly.
Summit is a three-lane map with an unusual shape. Attackers start in the bottom-left corner, so B Main is a short walk while A Lobby and A Main sit at the end of a longer walk along the south edge of the map. Defenders spawn at the top, between the two sites.
B site is built on height: a rope ascender takes you from B Gym up to B Tower, and a silent drop leads from B Tower down to B Drop. A site is wider, reached from A Main or through A Garden and A Art, with A Cave and A Hall behind it for defenders.
Mid runs from Mid Tiles and Mid Fountain up to Mid Window, with Mid Bend connecting to A Link and B Link connecting to B. The three droppable walls sit between A Art and A Garden, between Mid Window and Mid Bottom, and between B Tower and B Site. Dropping one closes a route for the whole round, so teams use them both to cut rotations and to crush a planted spike defuser or a stacked site.
Picks that fit Summit's layout as of Patch 13.08, and why each one works here.
| Agent | Role | Why it works on Summit |
|---|---|---|
| Initiator | Recon Bolt and drone check B Tower and A Garden from a distance, before anyone walks under a wall that could drop. | |
| Controller | Smokes on B Tower and Mid Window plus teleports let him play the vertical B site and lurk Mid without crossing open ground. | |
| Sentinel | Turret and Alarmbot hold B Main or A Main alone; set them away from the wall lines so a dropped wall cannot crush them. | |
| Duelist | Blast Packs reach B Tower and A Hall quickly, and Showstopper punishes a team stacked on a site after a wall cuts their exit. | |
| Initiator | Stuns and Aftershock go through walls, which clears A Cave and B Drop without exposing anyone on the site. | |
| Controller | Toxic Screen splits a long lane such as A Main to Mid Bend, and her lineups deny defuses from safe spots. |
A starting point while the Summit meta settles: two initiators to clear the high ground and corners, Omen to cut sightlines, Killjoy to anchor.
Cypher cameras on A Garden and B Link give passive information without voice, and Gekko's Wingman plants or defuses while you watch the wall.
B is close to your spawn and A is far, so use the distance: show B early and decide late.
Use the walls to delay, not as a first reaction. A wall dropped too early just closes your own rotation.

Yes. Summit is in the current competitive map pool (Patch 13.08), where it has been since Patch 13.00. The current pool (Patch 13.08) is Abyss, Bind, Corrode, Haven, Lotus, Summit, Sunset.
Summit is set in a Radiant training academy in the mountains of China, near Zhangjiajie in Hunan. In the lore it is the academy where Sage trained.
The strongest picks on Summit are Sova, Omen, Killjoy, Raze, Breach. A balanced start is Sova, Omen, Killjoy, Raze and Breach: recon for the high ground, a smoker for B Tower and Mid, a site anchor and two agents that clear corners without line of sight.
Summit was released on June 23, 2026, in Patch 13.00. It went straight into the Competitive pool, after a 7-day Summit-only queue, and was revealed at the Masters London grand final.
Each of the three walls (A, Mid and B) has a switch with 125 HP. Shooting it makes the wall drop. Anything under it when it lands is killed, utility included, and the wall stays down until the round ends.
There is no settled answer yet; the map has been out since June 2026. B is very close to the attacker spawn, which helps fast B hits, while the long route to A favours defenders.
